Primarily functions as a carbohydrate/sugar blocker. The ingredients in this formula work together to diminish starch digestion. Slowed digestion of starch blunts the rate at which sugars are released from the starch; consequently there is less sugar available for absorption and fat production. Also, slowing starch digestion leaves some starch undigested, which can act as fiber and is simply eliminated from the body. Eliminated starch means fewer calories absorbed and fewer calories absorbed means less fat production!
